Purchase a World Pass.

To buy a world pass, go to one of the following NPC's:

    Form a Link Shell

    Link Shells are FFXI's version of online guilds. If you and a group of friends wish to band together in a link shell, you can do so by purchasing the link shell status from one of the following NPC's:

  • Bastok Port: Ilita
  • San D'Oria South: Paunelie
  • Windurst Port: Khel Pahlhama

    Change Allegiance

    If you decide to change the Realm you represent, you can do so for the price of 10,000 Gil. Changing your allegiance loses you any rank you may have gained. However, you do get to keep your conquest points. To change allegiance, talk to one of these NPC's:

  • Bastok Metalworks: Mythily
  • San D'Oria North: Beriphaule
  • Windurst: Rakano-Marukano

    Reverting to a Title

    If you wish to revert to a title you had previously earned, you can do so by talking to one of there NPC's:

  • Bastok Port: Tuh Almobankha
  • Kazham: Eron-Tomaron
  • Norg: Quntsu-Nointsu
  • Mhaura: Willah Maratahya
  • Rabao: Shupah Mujuuk

Final Fantasy XI Chocobo Get Guide

No Final Fantasy game would be complete without the lovable Chocobo. Well, don't worry you will have plenty of interaction with the cute birds in FFXI. The Chocobo is the main form of quick transportation in the game. When you ride one, you can fly through the outdoor zones with ease and not worry about getting attacked. However, Chocobos will not go into dungeons or cities.

To get your Chocobo, you must be at least level 20 and have completed the Chocobo License Quest. Then head to any Chocobo stable and check out your bird. Wheee.

When you are riding the Chocobo, you are restricted in what you can do. You can target and consider Mobs, but you cannot actually attack them. You also cannot use magic, items or abilities, or interact with players or NPC's while riding. There is one trait specific to Chocobo riding digging for treasure. Bring along a pack full of Gisaru Fruit and take the Chocobo near an area that looks promising. Feed him the fruit and he will dig up something for you. This is often food and water, but can occasionally be something decent.

Be cautious where you travel as well, as the Chocobo has a nasty habit of tiring of you and leaving you stranded in a remote part of the zone with a dangerous walk back to safety. Feeding the Chocobo will make him tend to stay with you longer. It is best to just head straight for your destination if you want to make sure you get there before the big bird leaves.

    Chrono Trigger has been released across a number of different systems, including most recently on the Nintendo DS. Magus is an extra character that you can get to add into your party. You can get Magus to join your party by following a few simple steps. If you don’t follow these the right way, it is possible to never get Magus to join your party. This is how you get Magus to join your party.

    Throughout most of the Chrono Trigger adventure, you are led to believe that Magus is one of the main villains in the game. Come to find out, Magus isn’t really the main villain of the game. After you encounter Magus, you find out that Magus is also trying to find Lavos, and Lavos is the enemy of Magus as well. Magus can join your party later in the game. You need to wait until three certain points in the game have been finished.

    In order for the character in Chrono Trigger Magus to join your party, you need to wait until after Chrono is killed. That is the first condition. You must also wait until your time travelling machine, the Epoch, has been redesigned with wings on it. And finally, after the Blackbird ship has been destroyed, you can then try to join Magus to your group. The Blackbird ship is in the 12,000 BC era and is owned by Dalton. After it is fried, follow these next steps.

    Go to 12,000 BC to the area that is called The Commons. Keep walking to the north end of the island and you will find an area called North Cape. North Cape is where Magus is at right now. You won’t be able to see Magus once you enter North Cape. You’ll see a shiny object at the top of North Cape that looks like a magic tab. Go up to the shiny object and touch it using the action button on your controller. Magus will now appear.

    Guide to Play the Red Mage in Final Fantasy XI

    Red mages are a versatile part of the party. They can fill gaps in the party that other jobs or job combinations cannot fill. But as a Red Mage you should expect a few things. First and upmost...you are there to weaken the monsters. That's right... debuffing or Enfeebling Magic. As you can expect you will start every battle casting the appropriate debuffs to maximize experience points. To do this you must know your monsters and what elements they are weak to. Also you must make sure that your other mages that can cast debuffs know that you will be handling it all or what debuffs you will be casting. This will help maximize the the party's overall combative skills. Let's take a look at debuffs as you go.

    Dia - a Light based spell that is effective as a slow damage dealer like Poison and adds the effect of Defense Down. You will normally use this in conjuction with other slow damage debuffs like Poison. Dia and Bio DO NOT stack. Now I put emphesis on "do not" because I have tested this throughly in the Palborough Mines with Amethyst and Amber Quadavs who do cast Dia and Bio, and they do not stack also nor do they cancel one another like popular belief says. Yes you can do damage with the other if one is in place, but it is not recomended. Also has Levels 2 and 3 and an Area of Effect (AoE) version known as Diaga and Diaga 2.

    Poison - A Thunder based spell that is used time and again. This debuff should be casted in every battle and is the most reliable form of all the slow damage debuffs. Even those monsters that are resistant to Thunder based attacks fall to this. Though is may have to be repeatedly recasted it is very reliable at a low MP cost. Also has a Level 2 form.
